How to take and know your correct measurements after birth?

To know your body measurements, you will need to measure your chest, waist and hips.

Use a tape measure and make sure you take all measurements standing upright 

Place the tape measure around the part of your body to be measured, holding it firmly and without deforming it. The exact measurement that should be taken is where the tape meets.

1. The chest

Stand up straight and place the tape measure horizontally and flat on your chest at the tip of the breasts. Wrap it around under the armpits and over the shoulder blades. 

2. The waist

Take your tape measure and place it around your waist. If you have trouble finding your natural waistline, stand up straight, lean to the side: the part where your body bends is your natural waistline, i.e. the thinnest part of your torso, where it is the most hollow. In principle, the tape measure should pass between your rib cage and your belly button. Make sure that the tape measure lies flat around your waist, without it being too tight. For an accurate measurement, do not tuck your stomach in. 

3. The hips

Place the tape measure around the largest area of your pelvis. It is said that the hip circumference is usually about 20 centimetres from the waist circumference, around the pelvic area. For some women, it will be lower, around the buttocks area.

What are the different types of morphology?

Having a good or bad morphology is like having a perfect body, it doesn't exist. However, if you want to have a balanced figure and clothes you feel good in, it is sometimes necessary to take the time to know your own morphology. 

A woman's morphology can be divided into six categories according to certain characteristics that we have listed for you below. 

The A-shaped morphology, the most classic and most commonmorphology in women. It is characterised by thin shoulders and wider hips.
